Four New Year’s Eve Hairstyles

Four New Year’s Eve Hairstyles

If there’s one night in the year where you can take your look to the next level, it’s New Year’s Eve. Here are our favourite show-stopping New Year’s Eve hairstyles to kickstart 2021 with a bang.

Voluminous Curls

Whether your hair is naturally straight or curly, this New Year’s Eve hairstyle brings all the sass with voluminous curls that defy expectations.

  • After shampooing and conditioning, work our AQUA PRIMER through towel-dried hair to protect against heat damage.
  • To start adding raw texture and prepare hair for future curls, mist our iconic SALT SPRAY onto your hair.
  • If you have naturally curly hair, spritz our CURL REVOLUTION MIST onto your tresses, then blow dry with a diffuser until it’s roughly 90% dry.
  • If your hair is naturally straight, blow dry as normal, then use straighteners to curl your hair using the twist and pull method: place an inch-wide section of hair between the tongs, then twist the iron away from your face while gently gliding it down your hair.
  • Repeat all over.
  • Loosen those luscious curls with your fingers then set them in place with our SKYSCRAPER light to medium hairspray, ready for a night of dancing.

Fudge Tip: Add sparkling hair jewellery to your locks for the ultimate New Year’s Eve hairstyle.

Keep It Retro

Steal the show with this New Year’s Eve hairstyle: a retro beehive that is guaranteed to turn some heads.

  • Prep the hair for some serious volume and protect it against heat damage with XPANDER Foam. Work it through your tresses to visibly increase hair density, for hair that looks and feels fuller from root-to-tip.
  • Blow dry hair using a big round brush to achieve full, bouncy locks.
  • When dry, clip the front section of the hair (from the top of the crown) away from the back.
  • Focusing on the back of the hair, shake our ELEVATE POWDER onto your roots, and tease through with your fingers to create a backcombed effect.
  • For more volume, backcomb individual sections of hair
  • When you’ve created that beehive effect, gently brush back the backcombed hair and secure in place with bobby pins.
  • Unclip the sections at the front, and drape them over the beehive. Secure in place with bobby pins.
  • Set the look in place with our SKYSCRAPER hairspray.

Soft ‘70s Waves

Take it all the way back to the ‘70s with soft bohemian waves. Quick and easy, this New Year’s Eve hairstyle leaves plenty of time for dancing.

  • Work our AQUA PRIMER through towel-dried hair to protect against heat damage.
  • Apply our SALT SPRAY onto your hair to add texture and body.
  • Blow dry your hair until it’s roughly 90% dry, then create a deep parting.
  • Create soft waves using a curling wand. Taking small sections of hair, alternate between curling strands towards and away from your face.
  • Repeat all over, then use your fingers to loosen the curls.
  • Spritz our SKYSCRAPER hairspray over the finished look to keep those waves looking beautiful all night-long.

Fudge Tip: Add a glitter barrette for extra sass and sparkle.

Braided Ponytail

If you’re looking for an easy show-stopping New Year’s Eve hairstyle, a braided ponytail should be your go-to choicetrust us.

  • Prep your New Year’s Eve hairstyle by washing your hair with our LUMINIZER MOISTURE BOOST SHAMPOO and WEIGHTLESS CONDITIONER for sleek-looking, glossy hair that’s ready to be styled.
  • When dry, tie your hair into a high ponytail, using a comb to slick the hair straight back.
  • Apply our AQUA SHINE SERUM onto your slicked back hair to smooth frizz, control unwanted flyways, and add endless shine.
  • Plait your ponytail.
  • Set the look in place with our SKYSCRAPER hairspray.
