With that in mind, here are five Christmas hairstyles that are guaranteed to turn heads (even if it’s on a zoom call)

Five Christmas Hairstyles

1. The Half Up – Half Down Look

The perfect marriage between glamorous and laidback vibes, this half up – half down look is sure to be one of the most popular Christmas hairstyles in 2020.

  • Brush out both the top and bottom halves, then spritz each section will SALT SPRAY to prepare the strands for future curls.
  • On the half-down section of hair, use straighteners to create loose curlsPlace an inch-wide section of hair in the straighteners at mid-length, then glide the iron towards the ends while turning it away from your face.
  • Repeat all over.
  • Split the half-up section of hair in two and curl each half using the above technique.
  • Comb through with your fingers to loosen the curls.
  • Spray our SKYSCRAPER hairspray to set the look.

The ultimate J-Lo approved Christmas hairstyle, the double top knot is cute and fun – perfect for the festive season!

  • Part your hair down the middle to create two equal sections.
  • Work our GROOMING PUTTY through your tresses from the crown to the top of your head.
  • Slick back each section using a comb to smooth any frizz, and tie into two high pigtails on either side of your head
  • Twist and roll one pigtail around the hair tie to create a bun. Secure in place using bobby pins. Repeat on the other side.
  • Use your fingers or a small comb to brush your baby hairs forward so that they sit on your forehead and temples. Carefully coat those baby hairs in our GROOMING PUTTY using your fingertips.
  • Use a small comb to shape and style small sections of baby hair, pulling them slightly forward onto your face to create a curtained fringe.
  • Apply our AQUA SHINE SERUM onto your slicked back hair to protect it from humidity and frizz, and leave a glossy finish.
  • Set the look in place with our SKYSCRAPER hairspray.

 3. The Messy Pony

A great day-to-night look, this textured ponytail is effortlessly stylish. Pair it with a bold lip and dangly earrings to really make a statement.

  • Shake our ELEVATE POWDER onto dry hair at the roots. Tease through with your fingers to add volume and texture.
  • Finger-comb the hair into an imperfect high ponytail and tie up. Leave a few loose sections at the front to frame your face, and gently loosen sections of hair at the crown to soften the look.
  • Spray the pony with our heat protecting TRI-BLO. Then, take an inchwide section of hair and wrap once around the barrel of curler. Hold the ends of the hair, and roll the barrel up and down for 5 seconds. Release.
  • Repeat until the whole ponytail has been curled into loose waves.
  • Spritz the pony with our TEXTURE SPRAY, then comb through and scrunch the hair to amplify the look. This will add raw texture and body to the pony, creating that natural, messy effect and setting the look in place.

Fudge TipWrap a small piece of hair from the ponytail around the hair tie to disguise it.

 4. Look Sleek & Feel Chic

Sleek, straight hair screams elegance and sophistication – and it’s one of the easiest Christmas hairstyles to create.

  • After shampooing and conditioning, smooth our BLOW DRY AQUA PRIMER through towel dried hair to prevent heat damage.
  • Then, spritz our PUSH IT UP BLOW DRY SPRAY onto your roots, using your fingertips to zhuzh the hair and add long-lasting lift.
  • Section the hair into 3 (the sides and the back), then blow dry it straight using a big round brush. For the sleekest finish possible, keep the nozzle of the hairdryer parallel to the handle while drying. Start at the back of your head and work your way round.
  • For even more wow-factor, lift the roots using a smaller round brush and direct the hairdryer upwards. This will add just a touch of volume.
  • Apply our AQUA SHINE SERUM to smooth flyaways and frizz, and lock in incredible shine.
  • Set the look in place with our SKYSCRAPER light to medium hairspray.

Fudge Tip: For extra sass, accessorise this Christmas hairdo with a pearl-studded headband or an over-sized clip.

5. The Blow Out

Sassy yet classy, you can’t go wrong with this Christmas hairstyle. In fact, we’d save this one for the big day!

  • Prep your strands for incredible volume with our XPANDER FOAM VOLUMISING HAIR MOUSSE to make hair look fuller and more voluminous from root to tip.
  • Separate your hair into at least four different sections, clipping each part that you’re not blow drying to the side.
  • Roll the section you’re working on around a round brush, then move the hairdryer over the hair while pulling the brush downwards. Repeat this movement continuously until the section is completely dry.
  • Repeat on each section, working from the under layers outwards, and in a circle around your head.
  • Run your fingers through your hair to blend the sections together.
  • Spritz our HED SHINE spray to make your hair look healthier and glossier than ever.
